coming to this country without a penny in your pocket and ending up with a house in beverly hills, california. that is the american dream. that is what i believe is at the heart of republicanism. individual empowerment, individual ownership, individual responsibility. allow individuals to dream. allow them to go as far as they can. that for me is republicanism. that is why i am a proud republican. we had issues. we have to modernize. we have to be consistent on some things. we have to stop insulting people. i am is still a proud republican. host: the president took issue -- questions on a number of issues including immigration reform, something he promised in his first term and promises to make it a key agenda item.
